Nursing home leaders are grateful for the $5 billion in additional Provider Relief Funds going towards nursing homes that will help battle the “concerning” growing number of new COVID cases within the country. With that, AHCA spokesperson Mark Parkinson says that more funding is needs and asks Congress to provide an additional $100 billion for the HHS Provider Relief Fund, which is accessible to all healthcare providers impacted by COVID-19 with a focus on helping nursing homes and assisted living facilities. Congress will work out the details of this bill in the upcoming weeks, and some say this will be the last economic stimulus bill.
